Bears safety Jackson, OLB Lynch ruled out of Sunday game against 49ers

The Chicago Bears will be without Pro Bowl safety Eddie Jackson and linebacker Aaron Lynch against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

The Bears ruled out both due to injuries they suffered during last week's victory against the Green Bay Packers. Neither player practised all week nor made the trip to San Francisco.

Jackson, tied for the league lead among safeties with six interceptions, sprained his right ankle after picking off an Aaron Rodgers pass late in the game. Lynch sprained his right elbow.

Deon Bush is expected to replace Jackson in the Bears secondary, with Isaiah Irving stepping in for Lynch. The Bears clinched the NFC North last week and are playing for a higher seed in the playoffs.
