Odisha Government Extends Historic Hockey Sponsorship Deal Until 2036

This historic partnership was formalized in a high-level meeting attended by Hockey India president Dilip Tirkey, secretary-general Bhola Nath Singh, Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Minister of State for Sports & Youth Services Suryabanshi Suraj, Chief Secretary & Chief Development Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Jena, and Commissioner-cum-Secretary R Vineel Krishna.

Speaking about the meeting, Hockey India president Dilip Tirkey stated, 'We had a productive meeting with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Minister of State for Sports & Youth Services Suryabanshi Suraj. The discussion focused on advancing sports and strategies to elevate hockey to new heights.'

He further added, 'We are grateful to the Government of Odisha for their unwavering support and commitment to Indian hockey. This partnership is pivotal in uplifting the sport nationwide.'

Bhola Nath Singh echoed these sentiments, stating, 'The Odisha government's support for Indian hockey has been invaluable and their decision to consider extending the partnership until 2036 underscores their dedication to sports and youth development.'
