In a remarkable show of unity and support, HSBC India and the Athletic Federation of India (AFI) hosted a grand send-off ceremony for the Indian athletes heading to the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Held at The Lalit in Chandigarh, the ceremony underscored the spirit of excellence and perseverance. Attendees included athletes from various track and field disciplines, along with India's first-ever individual Olympic gold medalist, Abhinav Bindra, who provided words of encouragement.
Adille J Sumariwalla, President of AFI, expressed gratitude for HSBC's continuous support, emphasizing its role in enhancing training facilities and improving performance levels. Sandeep Batra, Head of Wealth and Personal Banking at HSBC India, lauded the athletes, reaffirming the bank’s commitment to their welfare and success.
