Chasing 168 runs, Zimbabwe faced early setbacks with pacer Mukesh Kumar clean bowling Wessly Madhevere for a duck. Despite resistance from Brian Bennett and Tadinawanashe Marumani, Kumar struck again, dismissing Bennett for 10 runs.
Zimbabwe's struggle continued as India's bowlers dominated. Washington Sundar and Abhishek Sharma took vital wickets, restricting Zimbabwe to 125 all out in 18.3 overs. Earlier, Samson's 58 off 45 balls and Shivam Dube's quick 26 helped India set a challenging target of 167/6.
