Following India's series win against Zimbabwe, all-rounder Abhishek Sharma expressed his gratitude towards skipper Shubman Gill and the team management for their confidence in his bowling abilities. Sharma acknowledged the faith placed in him despite his initial performance and is committed to improving his skills with the ball.

The final T20I at Harare saw notable performances, with Mukesh Kumar taking four wickets and Sanju Samson scoring a half-century, leading to India's victory by 42 runs. After the match, Sharma reflected on the team's ability to bounce back after setbacks, emphasizing the importance of staying positive and focused.

Sharma also shared the emotional moment of making his debut alongside his 2018 U19 World Cup teammate, Riyan Parag, fulfilling a long-held dream. Despite a mixed series with the bat, Sharma's aggressive intent was evident as he scored 124 runs in four innings at a strike rate of over 174 and took two wickets across 13 overs.

Zimbabwe, after winning the toss and opting to field, initially had India on the back foot at 40/3. However, a crucial 65-run partnership between Samson and Parag and a quick knock from Shivam Dube helped India post a respectable 167/6. Blessing Muzarbani led Zimbabwe's bowling attack with figures of 2/19.

Zimbabwe's chase showed promise, but critical contributions from Dube and Kumar derailed their efforts. Despite fighting knocks from Dion Myers, Tadiwanashe Marumani, and Faraz Akram, Zimbabwe fell short, being dismissed for 125. Dube’s all-round performance earned him the 'Player of the Match' award, while Washington Sundar was named 'Player of the Series' for his overall contributions.
