Shubhankar Sharma's Rollercoaster Finish at Genesis Scottish Open

Indian golfer Shubhankar Sharma ended T-39 at the Genesis Scottish Open, despite being inside the Top-10 before a triple bogey on the 18th hole. Scotsman Robert MacIntyre secured a home victory, while Indian-American Sahith Theegala tied for fourth. This marked MacIntyre's first Rolex Series title.

Indian golfer Shubhankar Sharma, preparing for the final Major of the season, concluded the Genesis Scottish Open at T-39 here.

Sharma, turning 28 on the final day of the 152nd Open on Sunday, was 8-under through 17 holes and almost in the Top-10, but a triple bogey on the 18th brought him to 5-under 65, totaling 8-under 282 to finish T-39.

Scotsman Robert MacIntyre birdied the final hole to secure an emotional home victory, clinching his first Rolex Series title with a 67 and totaling 18-under for the week, just one shot clear of Adam Scott (67).

Indian-American Sahith Theegala carded a final round 69, tying at 14-under with Aaron Rai, defending champion Rory McIlroy (68), overnight leader Ludvig Åberg, South Korea's Sungjae Im (69), and American Collin Morikawa (69).

MacIntyre, the home favourite, produced a stunning finish at The Renaissance Club, unlike last year when McIlroy took the title, ensuring his second PGA Tour win as the Scottish Open is co-sanctioned with the PGA Tour.
