Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya Pledges Government Support for Football Development

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) announced on Tuesday that Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has assured governmental support for various initiatives. This includes utilizing FIFA international match windows, supporting head coaches, preparing for the 2026 Asian Games, and establishing a specialised goalkeeper academy.

On Tuesday, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) announced that they had received assurances of support from Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. The assurance came following a meeting with AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey, Acting Secretary General M Satyanarayan, and Treasurer Kipa Ajay on Monday.

The AIFF outlined that the support covers four key areas: utilizing all FIFA international match windows for both men's and women's teams, aiding the head coaches, providing preparation camps for the 2026 Asian Games, and establishing a specialised goalkeeper academy.

Dr. Mandaviya emphasized the importance of football in India and committed to extending necessary support within government policies.
