Suryakumar Yadav has emerged as the highest-ranked Indian cricketer, securing the second spot in the latest ICC T20I batting rankings released on Wednesday. Yashasvi Jaiswal, the young opener, holds the sixth position, marking a significant rise in his career.
Following India's recent 4-1 series victory over Zimbabwe, updates in the rankings also saw Ruturaj Gaikwad drop to the eighth position. Shubman Gill, who captained the team and topped the run charts with 170 runs in the series, moved up 36 places to 37th.
While no Indian bowler made it to the top 10 T20I rankings, Mukesh Kumar and Washington Sundar registered notable improvements. Leading the bowlers' rankings is England's Adil Rashid, followed by Anrich Nortje and Wanindu Hasaranga.
