India's experienced off-spinner Deepti Sharma, along with pacers Renuka Singh and Pooja Vastrakar, produced a stellar performance to restrict Pakistan to a below-par 108 in their Women’s Asia Cup opener.
Deepti took 3 for 20, Renuka grabbed 2 for 14, and Vastrakar finished with 2 for 31, consistently breaking Pakistan’s momentum throughout their innings of 19.2 overs.
Veteran batter Sidra Amin showed resilience with a score of 25 off 35 balls, while Tuba Hassan (22 off 19 balls) and Fatima Sana (22 not out off 16 balls) displayed some fight. However, the Indian bowling attack proved too formidable, ensuring a comprehensive effort.
