Newcastle United Secures Promising Talent Miodrag Pivas

Newcastle United has signed 19-year-old Serbian youth international Miodrag Pivas from Jedinstvo Ub. Pivas, who can play both as a defender and a box-to-box midfielder, previously played in Austria. Newcastle CEO Darren Eales praised his potential, and Pivas expressed excitement about the club's project.

Newcastle United has signed 19-year-old defender Miodrag Pivas from Serbian club Jedinstvo Ub, the Premier League team announced on Saturday. Pivas, a Serbia youth international who can also operate as a box-to-box midfielder, spent most of his formative years in Austria, representing Siezenheim and Grodig before moving to Jedinstvo last year.

'Miodrag is a promising talent with high potential,' Newcastle's CEO Darren Eales said. Pivas added, 'I see the project of the club and it looks great, which helped convince me to sign for Newcastle.'

The Magpies are set to start their league campaign against newly-promoted Southampton on Aug. 17.
