As India gears up for a crucial Women's Asia Cup clash against Nepal, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has shared her deep affection for cricket, calling it her 'god' because it has given her everything. The Indian women's team, aiming for their third consecutive win, seeks to continue their title defense with a victory on Tuesday.

India currently tops Group A with two wins from two games and is nearly assured a place in the semifinals. Wins over Pakistan and UAE have brought confidence, but securing a win in this last group stage match is pivotal for maintaining momentum. Speaking exclusively to Star Sports, Kaur said, 'Cricket, I think, is everything to me. Without cricket, I do not think I would be anything.'

Kaur also reminisced about the first time she wore the Indian jersey, describing the confusion over whether to share the moment with her parents or her coach first. Reflecting on her career, she highlighted her 171* knock against Australia in the 2017 ICC Women's World Cup semifinal as a standout. Kaur credited the team's improved performance over the past seven to eight years to playing a more aggressive brand of cricket, which has attracted more fans to the stadiums.
