The IDEMITSU Honda Racing India team made a strong impression in Race 1 of Round 4 of the 2024 FIM Asia Road Racing Championship held in Indonesia on Sunday. Indian riders Kavin Quintal and Mohsin Paramban showcased determination and consistency at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit.
Chennai's 19-year-old rising star, Kavin Quintal, started from the 27th position on the grid but swiftly advanced after the first lap, maintaining a consistent performance despite an earlier injury. He provided tough competition to international riders and finished the race in 19th place with a total time of 18:37.226.
Mohsin Paramban from Mallapuram started from 21st on the grid and delivered a commendable performance, maintaining his position throughout the race and finishing 22nd with a total time of 18:44.784. Despite not securing any points for the team in this race, both riders are optimistic about their performance in the next round.
Quintal expressed satisfaction with his recovery and performance, stating, 'Despite the injury and tough competition, I'm pleased with today's race and look forward to securing better results tomorrow.' Paramban added, 'Today's race was challenging, but we will refine our strategies and aim for a better position in the next round.'
