Gagan Narang Consoles Sarabjot After Narrow Miss in 10m Air Pistol Event

India's Chef de Mission Gagan Narang consoled shooter Sarabjot Singh after he narrowly missed making it to the final round of the men's 10m air pistol event. Sarabjot finished ninth, while Arjun Singh Cheema was back in 18th place. Narang encouraged Sarabjot to come back stronger in his upcoming mixed team event.

India's Chef de Mission Gagan Narang on Saturday consoled shooter Sarabjot Singh who narrowly missed qualifying for the final round in the men's 10m air pistol event.

Sarabjot finished the qualifications in ninth place with a score of 577, while Arjun Singh Cheema ended in 18th place with a score of 574.

Narang, who empathized with Sarabjot having faced a similar situation in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, wrote on his social media: "No one can understand how Sarabjot feels like I do. Chin up @sarabjotsingh30, you have one more event. Come back stronger and conquer the world, my friend." Sarabjot will pair with Manu Bhaker in the 10m air pistol mixed team event at the Paris Games.
