Sri Lanka emerged victorious in their first-ever Women's T20 Asia Cup, defeating India by eight wickets. Star players Chamari Athapaththu and Harshitha Samarawickrama led the team, chasing down a total of 166 in just 18.4 overs.

Skipper Athapaththu scored 61 off 43 balls, including nine fours and two sixes, while Samarawickrama remained unbeaten with a remarkable 69 off 51 balls.

Earlier, India posted a competitive 165/6 in their 20 overs, with Smriti Mandhana contributing 60 off 47 balls and Richa Ghosh adding a rapid 30. Sri Lanka comfortably achieved their target, winning with eight balls to spare.
