Indian shooter Ramita Jindal showcased her prowess by finishing seventh in the 10m air rifle women's competition at the Olympic Games on Monday.

The 20-year-old scored 145.3 in an intensely competitive final, having earlier reached the finals after an impressive qualification performance, where she placed fifth.

Despite a strong start, including a crucial 10.5 shot that momentarily lifted her to sixth place, Ramita was eventually eliminated. The young shooter, a bronze medallist at the Hangzhou Asian Games, had outperformed notable competitors Mehuli Ghosh and Tilottama Sen at domestic trials to earn her spot at the Paris Games.
