Sen, the reigning Commonwealth Games champion and a 2021 World Championships bronze medallist, showcased complete control and steady defense throughout the match. With this victory, he joins Parupalli Kashyap and Kidambi Srikanth in the elite club of Indian quarterfinalists from previous Olympics.
Looking ahead, Sen is set to face 12th seed Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei in the quarterfinals. Confident after his performance, Sen emphasized the importance of tough matches in building confidence, expressing his readiness to go deep into the tournament.
