Italian shooters Gabriele Rosetti and Diana Bacosi, both gold medalists in 2016, secured their victory by hitting the crucial final targets. Hancock competed alongside Austen Smith, who recently won a bronze in the women's individual skeet event.
Additionally, China's Jiang Yiting and Lyu Jianlin secured the bronze in the mixed team event, defeating India's Maheshwari Chauhan and Anantjeet Singh Naruka. The competition replaced the mixed team trap event from the previous Olympics.
