Ramkumar is poised to follow in the footsteps of Harjas Singh and Harkirat Bajwa, who represented Australia in the 2024 ICC Men's Under-19 World Cup in February.

The 16-player squad, chosen by the Youth Selection Panel alongside State Talent Managers, will participate in a multi-format series kicking off in September. The tour itinerary includes three 50-over matches and two four-day games, officially launching Australia's new World Cup cycle, according to a Cricket Australia release.

The Australian team heads into the series with a confidence boost following their undefeated run in the 2024 ICC Men's Under-19 World Cup, where they triumphed over India by 79 runs in the final. The squad comprises promising players from various cricket clubs across Australia, including Thomas Brown, Simon Budge, Zac Curtain, and others.
