Real Madrid's French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has been ruled out of the start of the LaLiga season after suffering a knee injury during a training session for the Super Cup, the club announced on Wednesday.
According to a club statement, tests conducted revealed that Camavinga, 21, has a 'sprain of the internal collateral ligament in his left knee.'
The injury occurred on Tuesday at Warsaw's National Stadium, where Real Madrid was preparing for their match against Atalanta. Camavinga, who represented France in Euro 2024, is expected to be sidelined for up to seven weeks, coinciding with the beginning of Real Madrid's LaLiga title defence this Sunday at Mallorca.
