Her family expressed gratitude for the public's support, which they believe will help her stay strong during this challenging period.

Former Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat received a warm homecoming at Delhi's Indira Gandhi National Airport following her heartbreaking disqualification at the Paris Olympics. Vinesh, the first Indian woman to reach the wrestling final, was greeted by a rousing reception as she arrived on Saturday.

Her brother Harvinder and mother Premlata expressed their happiness over the strong show of support. Harvinder told ANI during a roadshow in Jhajjar that the public's love would be a great source of strength for his sister. "It feels happy seeing people's love and support for her. These people and their support will give her the strength to go forward," he said.

Premlata, Vinesh's mother, added that she was looking forward to welcoming her daughter back home with traditional dishes. "It feels really good. She did really well, and the country has shown a lot of love and support for her. I will feed her churma, halwa, chutney, and dahi when she comes back home," she told ANI.

Vinesh turned emotional and teary-eyed during the reception. She was disqualified from the 50 kg gold medal bout after being found 100 grams overweight and announced her retirement on August 8. Despite the setback, the public's overwhelming support aims to bolster her spirits.
