Eberechi Eze's second-half equaliser on Sunday secured Crystal Palace their inaugural point of this Premier League season with a 1-1 draw against Chelsea. Coming from behind, Palace showed resilience and managed to score in the 53rd minute.
The first half saw Palace struggling, particularly after a defensive mistake by Marc Guehi allowed Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson to break the deadlock in the 25th minute. A counter-attack led by Cole Palmer set up Jackson's close-range finish.
Palace turned their fortunes around post-break, with Eze curling in a rebound from Cheick Doucoure's blocked shot. Both Levi Colwill and Daichi Kamada had chances to secure a win for their respective teams, but the match ended in a stalemate after over eight minutes of stoppage time.
