Indian canoe sprinter Prachi Yadav made an impressive mark by finishing third in her semifinal, securing a spot in the women's VL2 200m finals at the Paralympics. Yadav clocked 1:05.66, trailing behind Uzbekistan's Irodakhon Rustamova (1:04.39) and Great Britain's Jeanette Chippington (1:02.65).

The 29-year-old athlete had earlier clinched a fourth-place finish in the heats on Friday, propelling her to the semifinals. In a tight competition where only the top three advance to the final, Yadav's performance was commendable.

However, it was a different story for India's only male canoe sprinter, Yash Kumar, whose Paralympic journey concluded following a fifth-place finish in the men's KL1 200m semifinals with a timing of 1:02.03. Meanwhile, Pooja Ojha is set to represent India in the women's KL1 200m semifinals on Sunday.
