Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is set to return from injury soon, according to manager Pep Guardiola. De Bruyne missed the recent Premier League match against Arsenal due to a groin problem sustained during a Champions League game. City's next fixtures include a League Cup match against Watford and a Premier League game against Newcastle United.

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is expected to make a swift return from injury after missing Sunday's Premier League fixture against Arsenal, according to manager Pep Guardiola.

The 33-year-old sustained a suspected groin injury during the 0-0 draw with Inter Milan in the Champions League last Wednesday. City are set to face Championship side Watford in the League Cup third round this Tuesday and will travel to Newcastle United for their weekend Premier League clash. Guardiola stated, "I don't think it will be long," regarding De Bruyne's anticipated comeback following City's 2-2 draw with Arsenal.

"I cannot say how long for, I don't know for Newcastle but it won't be long. (He has) discomfort in his legs." De Bruyne was sidelined for four months with a hamstring injury last season but made a notable return, scoring a goal in a 3-2 victory over Newcastle in January. City currently lead the Premier League standings with 13 points from five games.
