Sandip Pradhan's Tenure as Sports Authority of India Director General Concludes
Sandip Pradhan's term as Director General of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) has concluded after over five years. In his place, sports secretary Sujata Chaturvedi will take on additional responsibilities as the new SAI DG starting October 1, until a regular appointee is named.

Sandip Pradhan's tenure as Sports Authority of India (SAI) Director General concluded on Monday after more than five years at the helm. The government officially relieved him from his duties.
Effective October 1, sports secretary Sujata Chaturvedi will assume the additional responsibility of SAI DG, as per the sports ministry's official order. Her term will continue until a permanent appointment is made or further orders are issued.
Pradhan, a 1990 batch Indian Revenue Service Officer and IIT-Kanpur graduate, had an extensive career with SAI, starting as deputy DG in 2017 and becoming DG in 2019. Following his service, Pradhan will return to his parent cadre after a short leave.
