Indian golfer Diksha Dagar faced a tough opening round at the Wistron Ladies Open in Taiwan, as she posted a 6-over 78 to stand tied for 97th place. The challenging morning conditions, marked by intense winds, tested her skills, making her at risk of missing the cut.
Despite starting with a bogey and later encountering a double bogey on the 18th and a triple bogey on the Par-3 fourth hole, Dagar managed a lone birdie on the third.
Conversely, Chiara Tamburlini and Chonlada Chayanun shone, both securing 6-under-par 66 in the afternoon. Tamburlini, leading the LET Order of Merit, recovered from early setbacks to reel in multiple birdies, while Chayanun maintained a steady round with a flawless back nine.
