Shashank Singh: Punjab Kings' Secret Weapon for 2025

Shashank Singh, retained by Punjab Kings for the 2025 season, promises to validate the team's trust by delivering stellar performances. With a strong record in the previous season, Singh is eager to learn from new coach Ricky Ponting and help his team secure its elusive title.

In a bold move, the Punjab Kings have retained uncapped talent Shashank Singh for the 2025 IPL season, aiming to bank on his finishing prowess witnessed last season. Singh, emerging as the top run-getter for the franchise, is determined to prove the management's faith was rightly placed.

Ranked ninth last season, Punjab Kings aim to turn their fortunes with new coach Ricky Ponting at the helm, and Singh's role is pivotal. Known for his aggressive style, the Chhattisgarh cricketer created waves with an unbeaten 61 off 29 balls, showcasing his potential to lead Punjab's charge.

With a history of faith in Singh despite past auction oversights, Punjab Kings look to the future with renewed hope. As Singh gears up for mentorship under Ponting, his aspirations reflect in his words: 'Working with Ponting is a dream come true,' signaling a promising season ahead.
