A man identified as Muzzamil Qureshi was arrested at the National Stadium for attempting to enter using fake accreditation, just ahead of the tri-series clash between Pakistan and New Zealand.

The arrest occurred when security officers, who were on high alert due to the tri-series, noticed irregularities in Qureshi's identification credentials. Disguised as a mediaperson, Qureshi possessed counterfeit International Cricket Council (ICC) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) cards as well as a forged cameraman identification, according to police reports.

In response to this security breach, stringent measures remain paramount, supported by a formidable deployment of over 7,000 policemen dedicated to monitoring and ensuring safety within and outside the stadium area during the series.
