Indian Olympic Association President, PT Usha, officially closed the Games, handing over the flag to Meghalaya's Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma, set to host the next edition in 2027. The ceremony, attended by dignitaries including Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, celebrated the athletes' performances and India's sports achievements.
Shah emphasized India's progress, noting infrastructure improvements and increased sports budgets under Prime Minister Modi's leadership. With Uttarakhand achieving significant success, leaders envision a future where India climbs into the top 10 of Olympic performers by 2036, supported by a robust sports ecosystem.
