In a display of dominance and skill, Team India clinched their third ICC Champions Trophy title by defeating New Zealand in a thrilling final in Dubai. The tournament, held across Pakistan and the UAE, saw India maintaining an unbeaten streak under the leadership of skipper Rohit Sharma.
Vice-president of BCCI and Congress MP Rajeev Shukla praised the team's all-round performance. Highlighting India's strengths, he lauded Sharma's captaincy and the effective use of spin bowlers, notably Varun Chakravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav, who were pivotal in India's success.
Meanwhile, New Zealand batsman Rachin Ravindra shone as the tournament's standout performer, earning the Golden Bat award with 263 runs and crucial wickets. New Zealand's Matt Henry also impressed, becoming the leading wicket-taker with 10 dismissals. The championship reinforced India's cricketing prowess on the global stage.
