Following India's triumphant campaign in the ICC Champions Trophy, key members of the victorious squad returned to a rapturous reception back home on Monday. Fast bowler Harshit Rana, who arrived at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport from Dubai, candidly shared his elation over India's historic victory. India's head coach, Gautam Gambhir, also touched down in Delhi, marking the end of a successful stint leading the team to a prestigious title win. Meanwhile, Indian captain Rohit Sharma returned to Mumbai at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, accompanied by his family. The veteran opener was instrumental in steering India to another ICC trophy.

Rohit Sharma, who was named Player of the Match, delivered a stellar performance with an outstanding knock of 76 runs from 83 balls, which included seven boundaries and three maximums. New Zealand opted to bat first after winning the toss, enjoying a positive start with a 57-run partnership between Will Young and Rachin Ravindra. However, Kuldeep Yadav turned the tide, taking crucial wickets, and alongside Varun Chakravarthy, limited New Zealand to 251/7. Michael Bracewell's unbeaten 53 off 40 balls was notable for the Kiwis.
