In a nail-biting finish, Hockey Jharkhand emerged victorious against defending champions Hockey Haryana in the 15th Hockey India Senior Women National Championship. The match ended in a 1-1 draw during regulation time, leading to a tense shootout where Jharkhand clinched the title 4-3.

Pramodni Lakra and Rani contributed to the earlier stages of the game with pivotal goals for their team. However, it was in the shootout that Rajni Kerketta, Nirali Kujur, Binima Dhan, and captain Alebla Rani Toppo rose to the occasion, ensuring their team's win. Goalkeeper Anjali Bhinjia's two critical saves was instrumental in sealing the victory.
