Rupal Chaudhary, Uttar Pradesh's World U-20 bronze medallist, started her season triumphantly by winning the women's senior 400m gold at the Indian Open 400m Competition.
Despite struggling with an injury over the past two years, the 20-year-old athlete secured victory, completing the quarter-mile race in 52.41 seconds, ahead of her rivals.
In the men's category, Kerala's Manu TS stole the show, clocking a personal best of 46.51 seconds. The event also featured younger athletes in the U20 and U18 categories.
