Mike Hesson, known for his successful stint with New Zealand's cricket team, has been appointed as Pakistan's new head coach for white-ball cricket. The announcement was made by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday.
Hesson, who is presently the head coach of Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League, will join the national side on May 26, immediately after the conclusion of the PSL. His extensive experience includes coaching roles in the Indian Premier League, making him a valuable asset to the Pakistani team.
The PCB hopes that Hesson's international experience will help revive Pakistan's fortunes after disappointing results earlier this year, including a lackluster Champions Trophy performance. This appointment follows a string of resignations from previous foreign coaches due to unresolved issues with PCB management.
