Fourteen-year-old cricket sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been named Bihar's vice-captain for the inaugural two matches of the forthcoming Ranji Trophy season commencing on Wednesday.
The announcement, made by the Bihar Cricket Association on Sunday, sees Suryavanshi join captain Sakibul Gani as the team prepares to face Arunachal Pradesh in their Plate League opener on October 15 at the Moin-ul-Haq Stadium.
Despite Suryavanshi's young age, he has already made an impact with an Indian Premier League contract at 13 and a record-setting century, solidifying his potential for India's Under-19 World Cup squad next year.
