Ravi Shastri, former coach of the Indian cricket team, has reiterated the enduring legacies of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, highlighting their substantial contributions to the game over more than a decade. Speaking to ICC's website, Shastri emphasized that their achievements would remain untarnished regardless of recent performances.

Shastri praised both cricketers' ability to excel against the world's formidable bowlers while noting that their influence spans more than just recent years, with Virat's impact particularly spanning nearly 15 years. Their legacies, according to Shastri, are enduring and will remain long after they decide to retire completely from international cricket.

In their recent outing since retiring from Test and T20I formats, both Rohit and Virat struggled to make a mark during an ODI against Australia in Perth. The match, rain-restricted to 26 overs each, saw India manage a total of 136/5, which Australia surpassed with ease. The teams are set to meet again in Adelaide on Thursday.
