Australian fast bowler Scott Boland has expressed his readiness to take on England's aggressive Bazball strategy in the forthcoming Ashes series. At 36, Boland brushed aside critiques from English cricket icons Mike Atherton and Stuart Broad, as reported by Fox Cricket. Despite being targeted by English batsmen in the last Ashes series and taking just two wickets for 231 runs in Leeds and Birmingham, he remains unfazed by past criticisms.

Atherton suggested Boland posed 'no fear' to England's top order, while Broad labeled the current Australian team as perhaps its weakest since the 2010-11 series which England won. Unperturbed, Boland emphasized the importance of concentrating on cricket, stating, 'All the past players are going to come out and have their opinion. We're just going to concentrate on our cricket.' He feels more equipped than ever, following a strong domestic season.

Boland, who recently claimed eight wickets in a Sheffield Shield match, remains optimistic about the summer ahead and values being part of the national squad, even as the 12th man. Lauded by teammate Steve Smith as one of the best bowlers globally, Boland insists his mental and physical preparation make him ready for the series. With an impressive Test record, including 62 wickets in 14 matches, he is eager to maintain his performance level against England in the upcoming Ashes fixtures. (ANI)
