Indian Greco Roman wrestler Vishvajit More clinched a bronze medal after overcoming Kazakhstan's Yerassyl Mmayrbekov with a 5-4 victory in the U23 Wrestling World Championship. Competing in the 55kg category, More's tenacity shone through the challenging bouts.

However, the championship brought mixed fortunes for India as three women wrestlers ended their campaigns prematurely. Hanny Kumari (50kg) faced a narrow defeat against Sviatlana Katenka, losing by fall with a 4-6 scoreline. Diksha Malik and Priya Malik also bowed out early in their respective categories, unable to advance beyond their initial rounds.

In the men's division, Kunal experienced a tough exit in the 60kg quarterfinals, while Prince saw his hopes dashed early in the 82kg qualification round. Despite these setbacks, More's performance remains a highlight, reflecting determination and skill on the international stage.
