The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has marked a significant achievement as its initiative, Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), surpasses two crore registrations, highlighting growing youth involvement in shaping India's future. This milestone reflects the platform's crucial role in uniting young citizens towards the common mission of Viksit Bharat 2047.
Introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on National Unity Day, October 31, 2023, MY Bharat rapidly developed into one of India's most extensive youth-focused digital networks. Serving as a comprehensive resource for 15-29-year-olds from diverse backgrounds, the platform facilitates learning, service, and leadership opportunities to promote nation-building.
Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya expressed pride in the achievement, acknowledging the passionate engagement of youth in national progress. MY Bharat hosts a dynamic ecosystem, offering programs like Volunteer for Bharat and the Experiential Learning Programme, which enhance both community contribution and personal development skills. Collaborative efforts with major organizations further amplify its impact.
MY Bharat's digital infrastructure, including features like CV Builders and interactive learning modules, fosters peer networks and skills recognition. The platform also hosts national programs such as the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, encouraging active youth participation. Its expansive reach, engaging over 16,000 youth clubs and 60,000 partners, underlines its influence across India.
This 'phygital' platform effectively bridges online engagement with tangible community action, supported by universities and NGOs to cultivate civic and leadership competencies. Guided by Prime Minister Modi's vision, MY Bharat remains a testament to youth-driven transformation as it empowers them to contribute to an Atmanirbhar Bharat by 2047.
