In a stark political exchange, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has accused his Punjab counterpart, Bhagwant Mann, of politicizing recent tragedies involving the deaths of two teenagers due to collapsing basketball poles. Saini emphasized that it's inappropriate to play politics over such sorrowful events.

The fatalities involved Hardik, a 16-year-old national sub-junior basketball participant and 15-year-old Aman, who both died in separate incidents in BJP-led Haryana. Mann's visit to the grieving family raised questions on Haryana's sports infrastructure, noting the insecurity faced by parents for their children's safety.

Saini, highlighting incidents of violence in Punjab, advised Mann to heed his own state's challenges. In response, Haryana's Sports Minister labeled Mann's comments as politically charged. Meanwhile, Saini has initiated infrastructure inspections across Haryana, underscoring his commitment to athlete safety.
