Malaysia and the Netherlands started their FIH Men's Junior World Cup journey with impressive victories on Saturday. In Pool E, Malaysia dominated Austria with a 5-1 win, while the Netherlands overcame England 5-3 in an exhilarating match.
For Malaysia, Danish Khairil's quick double in the 56th and 57th minutes was crucial. Teammates Harris Osman, Adam Johari, and Naaveenesh Panicker contributed to the scoreboard. Julian Kaiser managed a penalty corner goal for Austria in the 56th minute.
In the Netherlands' clash, Jan van't Land's goals in the 2nd and 49th minutes set the tone. Casper van der Veen, Joppe Wolbert, and Danilo Trieling also scored for a sound victory.
