The Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation has lauded the successful execution of the 2nd Women's Kabaddi World Cup 2025 held in Dhaka. General Secretary SM Nawaz Shohag remarked on the event's significant impact and applauded the performances of the finalist teams, according to a release from PKL.

"The hosting of the 2nd Women's Kabaddi World Cup in Bangladesh underlined the critical role of meticulous planning and efficient teamwork. Synchrony in logistics, player welfare, and international collaborations ensured the event ran smoothly. The tournament showcased the rapid growth of women's Kabaddi globally," said Shohag, emphasizing the need to elevate both player and official capabilities to meet international standards.

Shohag underlined the necessity of sustaining the momentum through more frequent international competitions and enhanced grassroots development. He advocated for increased women's participation, expansion of youth tournaments, and stronger alliances with global federations. Leveraging digital platforms and advanced event presentations were also identified as strategies to broaden Kabaddi's reach.

Shohag noted that the World Cup enhanced Kabaddi's appeal in Bangladesh, generating excitement among teams and attracting new audiences through media engagement. He observed increased interest from youth, particularly young women, spurring local program development and support for emerging players.

He concluded with congratulations to India for their victory and appreciated Chinese Taipei for their commendable performance in the final. Shohag attributed the elevation of women's Kabaddi standards to both teams, marking the event as a global success.
