In a grand gesture of appreciation, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi awarded Rs 11 lakh each to four remarkable players who contributed to India's triumph at the inaugural Women's T20 World Cup for the Blind. Their homecoming was marked by celebrations and a warm reception at the Biju Patnaik International Airport.
The state's pride, Phula Soren, Parvati Marndi, Yamuna Rani Tudu, and Basanti Hansda, played pivotal roles in the final match against Nepal in Colombo on November 23. Their impressive display of skill and perseverance brought honor to both the state of Odisha and the nation.
Chief Minister Majhi, alongside the Minister for Sports and Youth Services and other prominent officials, praised the athletes for their inspiring determination. He encouraged them to continue their victorious journey, becoming a beacon of inspiration for all Odias.
