Star-studded Indian Delegation Gears Up for Asian Games

The Indian Olympic Association treasurer, Sahdev Yadav, will lead the country's delegation as Chef de Mission for the upcoming Asian Games in Japan's Aichi-Nagoya, set between September 23 and October 8. He also heads the national weightlifting body.
Accompanying Yadav, India's table tennis giant, Achanta Sharath Kamal, has been appointed deputy Chef de Mission. Kamal joins a 15-member committee organized by the Sports Ministry to meticulously prepare for the prestigious event.
The committee, chaired by the sports secretary, with IOA president PT Usha as co-chair, includes luminaries such as London Olympic medallist Gagan Narang and former hockey ace Viren Rasquinha. Other notable figures such as Kunal and Vineel Krishna also appear on the roster to coordinate operations.
