Andhra Pradesh Honours Cricket Star N Sricharani with Grand Rewards

The Andhra Pradesh government awarded Rs 2.5 crore to cricketer N Sricharani for her role in India's Women's Cricket World Cup victory. The recognition included a cash prize, housing plot, and job offer. She was pivotal in India's win over South Africa, representing Delhi Capitals and Andhra teams.

The Andhra Pradesh government has recognized the exceptional performance of N Sricharani, a left-arm spinner from the state, who played a decisive role in India's triumph at the 2025 Women's Cricket World Cup.

Following India's 52-run victory over South Africa, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced a comprehensive incentive package to honor the cricketer's contribution, highlighting a Rs 2.5 crore cash award, a housing plot, and a government position.

Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh presented Sricharani with the Rs 2.5 crore cheque in Undavalli. Despite a promised 1,000 sq ft plot in Kadapa, she received a 500 sq ft plot in Vishakapatnam. After completing her degree, she will also secure a Group-I level state government position.
