Tragic Pact: Teenage Athletes Found Dead in Kerala Hostel Room

Two teenage athletes residing in a SAI hostel in Kerala were found dead, suspected to be a suicide pact. Sandra A and Vyshnavi V were discovered hanging in their room. Tragedy struck the Sports Authority of India (SAI) hostel in Kerala as two young athletes, Sandra A from Kozhikode and Vyshnavi V from Thiruvananthapuram, were found dead in an apparent suicide pact. The teenage girls, training in athletics and kabaddi respectively, were discovered hanging in their room by hostel authorities.

Police initiated an investigation following the unsettling discovery. Officers confirmed that letters, revealing personal issues, were found. These notes, addressed to their parents, are believed to provide clues to the reasons behind their drastic decision. Both athletes had been residing at the hostel for two years.

Kollam City Police are investigating the circumstances, with plans to interview fellow athletes, trainers, and school personnel. Mobile phones and other personal items will also be scrutinized for any pertinent information. The Sports Authority of India has pledged full support to the ongoing probe.
