Union Minister G Kishan Reddy actively participated in the Hyderabad edition of the 'Sundays On Cycle' event, a part of the nationwide Fit India movement. He underscored the initiative's importance for harnessing the potential of the country's human capital.
During his address, Reddy emphasized how the modern lifestyle, dietary habits, insufficient physical activity, and environmental challenges contribute to rising health issues, notably obesity. He highlighted that a healthy citizenry is crucial for enhancing family, community, and national well-being.
The event, organized by the Sports Authority of India in collaboration with the Telangana government, featured a six-kilometer cycling rally starting and ending at Gachibowli Stadium. It included fitness demonstrations such as yoga and warm-up exercises to engage the community in healthy practices.
