India's cricket icon, Suryakumar Yadav, returned to a hero's welcome in Mumbai after leading the national team to its third T20 World Cup triumph. Under Yadav's leadership, Team India became the first team to clinch the T20 World Cup title at home.

Suryakumar, who started his international career at 30 in 2021, earned accolades for his performance. Despite ranking 10th in the tournament's run-getters list with 242 runs, his captaincy was pivotal in India's landmark win.

The final saw gripping performances: Abhishek Sharma's explosive 52 off 21 balls and vital partnerships by Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan contributed heavily to India's record final score of 255/5. In response, New Zealand struggled against India's tight bowling, with Axar Patel and Jasprit Bumrah dismantling their lineup efficiently.
