Humanitarian Visas Granted to Iranian Women's Soccer Players in Australia

Several players from the Iranian women's soccer team have been granted humanitarian visas to remain in Australia. Humanitarian visas have been issued to members of the Iranian women's soccer team in Australia.

Initially, five players were granted asylum on Tuesday due to concerns over their safety upon returning home, following their decision not to sing the national anthem.

Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke announced that an additional player and a support staff member have also chosen to stay in Australia, seeking refuge.
