Initially, Morocco lost the final in Rabat 1-0 against Senegal after extra time. The match resumed after the walkoff, leading to Senegal scoring in extra time. But in a decisive ruling, CAF's Appeal Board determined that Senegal forfeited the match due to their walkoff, and the result has now been overturned to 3-0 in favor of Morocco.
