Cricket Australia has yet to provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for Mitchell Starc's involvement in the IPL with the Delhi Capitals, but the franchise remains hopeful ahead of their April 1 opener.
Delhi Capitals' Axar Patel, cricket director Venugopal Rao, and head coach Hemang Badani fielded inquiries about Starc's availability during a media interaction. Despite Starc having claimed 14 wickets in 11 games last season, his participation hinges on Cricket Australia's sign-off regarding his fitness.
The team is in continuous contact with Cricket Australia, awaiting confirmation. If Starc cannot participate, Axar indicated that they may consider T Natarajan, who is currently fit, as an alternative.
